Sanitation Division
What we do
The Sanitation Division manages the City’s residential, small business and commercial waste streams by providing environmentally sound and safe methods for collecting, transporting, and disposing of solid waste, yard waste, recyclables, and bulk materials from households and businesses. Additional services include the Dial-A-Trailer program, offering trailers for residential use. Commercial Dumpster Service are also provided by the City.

Sanitation Superintendent
Anthony Jacobs
Anthony retired from the military as an Electronics Maintenance Officer after 23 years of service. He began his career in Public Services with the City of Jacksonville in 2023, where he was hired as the Sanitation Superintendent.
Anthony’s operational and logistical experience is a valued asset to both the City and the Sanitation Division. Anthony has implemented key policy and procedural improvements that resulted in cost savings and increased efficiency. His efforts have positioned the Sanitation Division for continued growth and future success within the City.
