Be the voice when it matters most
Join our Communication's Team!
When someone calls 9-1-1, you’re the first voice they hear, the calm, steady voice helping them through some of the most critical moments of their lives.
No two calls are the same. Every situation is different, and every decision matters.
As a 9-1-1 Telecommunicator, you’ll use your skills, judgment, and compassion to get the right help moving when it matters most. You’ll be part of a team that serves our community 24/7 and makes a difference every single day.
This is more than a job. It’s a mission.

A Look Inside Our Culture!
We work together on some of the hardest days our community will ever experience and we celebrate the wins together, too. We're serious about the work. We're serious about supporting each other. And yes, we have a pretty good time along the way.
What do we actually do?
Answer 911 calls
Talk to people during emergencies and gather the information responders need.
Dispatch Police
Send officers where they're needed and keep communication moving.
Coordinate Fire & Emergency Services
Help get the appropriate resources moving when seconds matter.
Use Technology
CAD (computer aided dispatch), mapping, radio systems, 911 technology, databases, and more.
Make Decisions Under Pressure
Prioritize calls, manage multiple tasks, and stay calm when things get chaotic.
Help People on Their Worst Days
Sometimes the most important thing you can give someone is a calm voice.
YES, IT'S HARD. THAT'S WHY IT MATTERS.
This isn't a Monday–Friday, 9-to-5 job.
Our center operates 24/7/365, which means nights, weekends, and holidays are part of the job.
You'll work long shifts, handle stressful situations, and sometimes hear things that stay with you.
You'll also know that you were there when someone needed help most.
